Anna Kendrick (born in Portland, Maine) is an American Oscar nominated actress. She's been in numerous popular films like Twilight and Twilight, but she is famous for being the character of support. Born in Portland, Maine, she began her acting career when she was a young girl in High Society, a popular Broadway musical. A Little Night Music is a Stephen Sondheim musical that she performed in for a New York City Opera. She then ventured to movies, and rose to the spotlight as an actress due to her performance as a character in Twilight. In the romantic film she was the girlfriend of the protagonist. The Twilight Saga New Moon was her return to the character. The actress has also been seen several times on TV on programs like Fear Itself and Comedy Bang! Bang! Anna Kendrick was also a vocalist. She sang Cups to cover the music video and soundtrack for Pitch Perfect. The song was a huge hit immediately. The US Billboard 100 ranked it as number 6, and The US Adult Top 40 at no 2.
