Felicity Jones was born and raised in Britain and is primarily known for the actress who was Jane Hawking on the critically-acclaimed film The Theory of Everything. Jones, who has been an actor since the age of twelve, has appeared in several TV and film series. Jones started her career as an actor with the TV movie The Treasure Seekers. She then played the role of Ethel Hallow another television show known as The Worst Witch and its sequel Weirdsister College. In her first feature film Flashbacks of a Fool (which she starred in), Young Ruth, she went on to play in other movies. In The Invisible Woman & The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in particular, she made a name for herself in her performance. She was nominated for an Oscar for the first time due to her character in the role of wife to Stephen Hawking's character on The Theory of Everything. Jones received high praise from both critics and audiences for portraying Hawking's former wife for the Stephen Hawking biopic. The film was followed by Inferno an action film starring Tom Hanks. Inferno was a thriller starring Tom Hanks. British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles awarded Jones the British Artist of the Year in 2016 for her remarkable talent and contribution to cinema.
